Lorenzo, an Italian professional with a wealth of experience in Asia's bar industry, previously demonstrated his expertise at Charles H, Caprice Bar, and Argo before introducing his brainchild Bar Leone to the Central district of Hong Kong in mid-2023. This establishment serves as a testament to Lorenzo's dedication and passion for bringing an authentic Italian experience to the vibrant city of Hong Kong.
This bar features a selection of staple cocktails, including the must-try Negroni Fig Leaf. Additionally, Jigger & Pony has clinched the third spot and earned the title of Best Bar in Singapore 2024. COA, which had maintained the number 1 position for many years, has now been positioned at number 4. Bar Benfiddich has been recognised as this year's Best Bar in Japan and has secured the 5th spot on the list.
This year's destination award winners have included BKK Social Club, Bangkok, which earned the 7th spot on the list and was honoured as Best Bar in Thailand 2024. Secured the place on the list at number 8, Penrose from Kuala Lumpur was honoured as the Best Bar in Kuala Lumpur 2024 and the Highest Climber Award 2024. The Cocktail Club in Jakarta was awarded the title of Best Bar in Indonesia 2024, ranking at number 12. Ranked number 14, Hope and Sesame from Guangzhou has snatched Best Bar in China Mainland.
The St. Regis Bar Macau, at the 22nd spot on the list, has taken the title of Best Bar in Macau 2024. Smoke and Bitters in Hiriketaya, at number 29, won the Best Bar in Sri Lanka 2024. The title of Best Bar in Taiwan 2024 was given to Vender Taichung, which earned the 30th spot on the list. The Curator Cofee and Cocktails in Malina, ranked number 33, was awarded Best Bar in the Philippines 2024. Barc from Kathmun has earned the 39th spot on the list and received Best Bar in Nepal 2024. Best Bar in India 2024 has gone to the bar at number 40, ZLB23 in Bengaluru. Finally, Best Bar in Vietnam 2024 went to The Haflington in Hanoi, at number 47.

For individual awards, start with One to Watch Award. This award is handed to the recent open bar that hasn't been on the list but has the potential to be placed on the list soon. This year's One to Watch Award went to Dry Wave Cocktail Studio, co-founded by talented Supawit Muttarattana. He is the former Co-founder of the COVID-19 collateral Backstage Cocktail Bar and the former Group Bar Manager of Foodie Collection, who led Vesper to its 11th spot in 2020, the highest rank in Vesper's history.
Nest by Pun in Taipei has snatched this year's Best Cocktail Menu Award, while The Savory Project, Hong Kong, has won Best New Opening Award 2024. Virtù in Tokyo has been awarded Art of Hospitality Award 2024. This year's Sustainable Bar Award has gone to Fura, Singapore. Atlas, also in Singapore, has received Legend of the List Award 2024 for being a majestic mainstay of Asia's cocktail scene and has won Best Bar Design Award 2024.
Dohyung Kim, widely known as Demie Kim, was honoured with the prestigious Bartender's Bartender Award in 2024 for his exceptional contributions to mixology and bar management at Zest Bar. His unwavering dedication, positive demeanour, and outstanding skills have not only propelled his personal success but have also set a high standard for the industry.
Yangdap Lama, the talented mixologist and co-owner of Sidecar in New Delhi, has been recognised as a pioneer in Indian mixology. He has been honoured with the prestigious Industry Icon Award 2024, solidifying his reputation as an influential figure in the industry. With three decades of experience in the industry, he has built an empire with Cocktails and Dreams and opened the Cocktails and Dreams School of Bar and Beverage Management – one of the first bartending schools in India, earning him this well-deserved accolade.
