Under the leadership of the current Head Bartender and Bar Manager, Rohan Matmary, who brings with him an impressive array of award-winning credentials and a fresh perspective, Bar Trigona is set to embark on an exciting new chapter. Rohan, the former head of beverages for Sidecar in New Delhi, the first Indian bar to break into Asia's 50 Best Bars list in 2020 and the World's 50 Best Bars in 2021, is committed to building on the bar's legacy of innovation and sustainability. His ambitious beverage programme aims to strengthen the connection between guests and local farmers who partner with Four Seasons Kuala Lumpur. With thoughtfully curated stories and immersive experiences, Rohan promises to take patrons behind the scenes with the cocktail menu, showcasing star ingredients like trigona honey and chocolate produced by reputable producers.
The Colour Me Curious menu consists of 4 sections, each offering a distinct and unforgettable drinking experience. The first section is Unique and Local, where globetrotters and local drinkers enjoy drinks made from local ingredients. One of the worthwhile drinks is Cacao and Curry. This captivating tiki-style cocktail combines the richness of golden rum, bourbon warmth, Malaysian single-origin cacao from the esteemed Chocolate Concierge, the aromatic essence of fresh curry leaf, a touch of Malbec's medium tannic and acidity, and the sweetness of falernum. This unique concoction promises a truly unforgettable drinking experience.
One of the bar's unique offerings is the Santo, a daisy-style drink that features bourbon infused with Palo Santo wood using the sous-vide technique. The cocktail, which also includes dry vermouth and a touch of lemon for a citrusy note, is presented in a truly unique way. The glass is covered with a distinctive stone lid topped with menthol-infused steel wool. As the bartender ignites the wool, a tantalising menthol aroma fills the air, creating a sensory experience for the guests. Once the wool burns out, the lid is gently lifted, revealing an elegant icing sheet bearing a QR code that leads to Bar Trigona's Instagram page, inviting patrons to further engage with the establishment.
Bar Trigona's Bottled section offers a diverse selection of expertly crafted cocktails, each designed to be savoured individually or shared among friends. These delightful concoctions can be enjoyed at our bar or purchased as a charming memento to be savoured at home. One standout option is Tropica, a tantalising spin on the classic Negroni with additional pink coconut and sweet strawberries. With such a variety of options, there's something for everyone to enjoy.
Viva is a refreshing gin-based cocktail featuring the vibrant flavours of sage, elderflower, and Pastis. This delightful concoction combines the herbaceous notes of sage, elderflower's floral sweetness, and Pastis's anise-flavoured richness, creating a well-balanced and sophisticated drink.
In the Trigona Honey Flight section, guests have the option to order drinks individually in full portions or to experience a flight consisting of all the drinks on the menu in tasting-sized portions. This allows guests to sample a variety of beverages and explore different flavours offered on the menu. The beverages in this section feature Airmail from Trigona, Trigona Penicillin, and Trigona Bee's Knees. Each drink is crafted using the trigona honey sourced from the local trigona bee farm, Dino Kelulut Farm. The last section on the menu, Spirit Free, features a selection of non-alcoholic drinks that cater to our guests who prefer not to consume alcohol.
