G Nimman Chiang Mai

Under the wabi-sabi style, this pure white hotel was built in an oval shape on Nimman Hemin Street. Two stories of the hotel surround a roofless round swimming pool where guests can swim or relax. The rooms are spacious and equipped with all types of USB plugs and ports. You won't have to worry about forgetting your cables or plugs at this hotel since you will be able to charge all your smart devices at this hotel. The common area on the second floor serves breakfast bites from 7-11 am, and a free flow of wines and snacks is available from 5 - 7 pm. It’s the hotel that encourages people to socialise and make new friends.

K Maison Boutique Hotel

This boutique hotel entrance is hidden underground. It gives you a hint that guests' privacy is its priority. After checking in at the reception and walking into the hotel, it's another dimension. The hotel is surrounded by greenery and minimalist architecture with some minimalised Lanna trinkets to remind you that you're still in Chiang Mai. The hotel offers you both abundance and tranquillity while keeping in touch with nature simultaneously. You can choose an American Breakfast or a traditional Lanna breakfast – pork skewers, Sai Oua, steamed sticky rice, steamed vegetables, and Nam Prik Noom served with tea, coffee or juice. The staff will bring you breakfast to your room at your preferred time. Some room types have a fireplace to set the mood and provide warmth.

Kiri Hotel Chiang Mai

Having a cocktail bar as a hotel reservation with a pool view, this boutique hotel knows how to keep its guests hydrated. The black and white colour scheme of the architecture, contrasting with the green and blue of the garden and pool area, gives your eyes some rest. The hotel room was smartly divided into spaces for leisure, sleep, work and bath in limited space without making you feel claustrophobic. The bathroom was divided by an electrochromic (smart glass) window. It turns opaque or transparent through a switch. This hotel doesn't include breakfast, but it has a restaurant called Somm Wine & Dine. It serves delicious, comfortable Italian fusion food, and you can pair your meal with some wine from its selection.

Raya Heritage

Away from Chiang Mai City Centre and situated near Ping River in Mae Rim District, this boutique hotel is a gallery that showcases craft artefacts and furniture made by local craftspeople. The spacious and comfortable rooms offer a balcony with a Ping River view. One of the highlights is the in-room tea blending box, where you can blend tea with herbs and botanicals to your liking. The hotel has various activities, from basketry workshops to hiking, for the guests to choose and indulge in while supporting the local community simultaneously. The hotel has a restaurant, Khu Khao, where you can tantalise your taste buds with healthy food made of locally sourced and homegrown produce.

Tamarind Village Chiang Mai

This boutique hotel in Chiang Mai has a giant tamarind tree as the hotel's centrepiece and was heavily inspired by Lanna's traditional arts and culture. The structure and furniture of the room are Lanna style, but words in Lanna's alphabet adorn the pillowcase, the wall, and the room amenities label. This hotel doesn't provide disposal toothbrushes because that is against their philosophy of sustainability. The rooms are decorated with warm lighting that gives you a sense of privacy but isn't too dark for reading your favourite book before bed. The bathrobe and slippers are comfortable and made by local people. If you like them, you can buy them. The hotel has a pool-side restaurant, Ruan Tamarind, which serves breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner. Their culinary team brings beautiful and tasty food to your table.

The Inside House

This hotel is a clash of Lanna and Rococo styles and was built around a sacred fig. This is why there is a bas-relief of the sacred fig in every room of The Inside House. The hotel gives its guests a glimpse of heaven through the space, architectural style, and colour scheme. Each room either comes with a balcony or terrace so all the guests can enjoy the garden view or the hotel's city view. When the sun comes down, the hotel staff bids guests good night with small bites of a traditional dessert and mineral water at the door. The hotel’s restaurant, Ghin, serves delicious food for breakfast, lunch and dinner. In the afternoon, the restaurant serves a delicate signature afternoon tea.

The Chiang Mai OLD TOWN Hotel

Situated on Ratchamanka road, inside Chiang Mai’s Moat, aka Chiang Mai Old Town. This boutique hotel owns an organic rice terrace and lets its guests cultivate its crops every October. Villa Alanna

This hotel is on the main road in Chiang Mai but oddly provides some serenity to its guests. The hotel is inspired by Thai tribal fabric patterns and wabi-sabi style. Every room is spacious and well-equipped. The hotel provides luxury elements such as a view of Doi Suthep, a private outdoor bathtub, soundproof doors and windows etc. The hotel offers a kitchen in every room, encourages its guests to cook, and allows guests to harvest some small produces from the hotel's garden. If you're not into cooking, the hotel can serve you food and beverages in your room or by the sea salt pool. There are three breakfast styles to choose from; traditional Thai, American, or Lanna. For those who love massage, you don’t have to go to the spa. The spa comes to you. Choose your spa programme from the menu, and the masseuse and equipment will arrive at your room door.
