After 10 Champions out of Diageo World Class Bartender Thailand, they all won the competition while based in Bangkok. On the fateful night of Tuesday, 3rd May 2023, a young bartender from Chiang Mai took the crown as Diegao World Class Thailand Bartender of the Year 2023 and will represent Thailand on the global stage in São Paolo, Brazil.
Parbun Bunragsatrakul, who won this year's competition, is one of the founders of a small cocktail bar called Before Dawn in Chiang Mai. He first entered the competition last year and made it to the final, competing under Office of Fish Omakase, an omakase restaurant in Chiang Mai, which he also owns.
After attending both the semi-final and final rounds, Chomp could only say that Bunragsatrakul is worthy of his title. We also hope that he can make Thailand proud!
For other awards, the first runner-up was Guntarit Ruamthongrat from Bar Scofflaws.
Ben Johnson Hodges from Stella Bar was the second runner-up.
From Asia Today Bar, Nutch Sirijungkul, who entered the competition for the very first time, took home this year's Rising Star prize for his potential.
Not only did Ben Johnson Hodges take third place in Diageo World Class Bartender 2023, but he also made an impression in Don Julio Challenge.
The bartender who executed Tanqueray No.10 Challenge was Kosin Kamja from Fire Fly Bar at Sindhon Kempinsky Hotel Bangkok.
Piret Nathibayapthis from Parasite Bar at Central World also did an excellent job in The Singleton Challenge.
